Reach Out and Read Unveils New National Website
New portal devoted to healthcare providers, new ways to get involved
Today, Reach Out and Read, the evidence-based early literacy initiative that helps doctors and nurses prepare young children to succeed in school, unveiled its brand-new national website.
The new website boasts new literacy materials, new research data on early literacy and reading aloud, and many new ways to get involved.
In addition, the website features a new portal specifically designed for healthcare providers. The portal includes information on starting a Reach Out and Read Program, brand-new training materials and videos, updated literacy materials for doctors and nurses, and a special section on how the Reach Out and Read model can benefit special populations.
Highlights of the new website include:
- Modernized look and feel. The website is pleasing to the eye, while maintaining key Reach Out and Read design elements.
- Ease of use for all visitors. In fact, nearly all information on the website is only three clicks or less away from the homepage.
- Enables you to find the information YOU need. ROR created three separate portals for Medical Providers, ROR Supporters, and Parents and Educators, each of which contains only the information and resources that are most useful to that group.
- Clear calls to action. Never before has it been easier to get involved in Reach Out and Read. The new website outlines dozens of ways (some requiring less than a minute of your time!) to support ROR and its mission.
